JACK

RAMSDELL

MIRA GHOSH

PARAHUE IS THE CREATION OF MANHATTAN-BASED ARTIST, JESSIE SALINAS. JESSIE’S ARTWORK - SPANNING PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS, PHOTOGRAPHS, SCULPTURES, MUSIC, AND CLOTHING - EXAMINES THE OFTEN CONTRADICTORY RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CAPITALISM AND COMMUNITY. DRAWING HEAVILY FROM HIS ROOTS IN STREET ART, HIS WORK, OFTEN CHARACTERIZED BY BOLD COLOR AND IMAGERY, EXEMPLIFIES THE INTERPLAY BETWEEN INDIVIDUAL COMPLEXITY AND COLLECTIVE ENGAGEMENT. JESSIE’S ART HAS BEEN SHOWCASED IN NUMEROUS EXHIBITS AND  EARNED SEVERAL PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS.

Jessie graduated from The Cooper Union with a degree in Fine Art and Philosophy. With a background in hospitality, Jessie identified a need for creative, unique events within the industry that invite participants to build community and explore their curiosities. ParaHue was born out of his proximity to hospitality and inclination toward experimentation.

Jessie founded and currently runs New York’s largest drawing collective, Artists of The Met, which invites the public to participate in drawing events every weekend. His positivity, kindness, and courage - which are the foundational pillars of the ParaHue experience - impact those who interact with his work and participate in his social events.
